Why is Alexa’s Flashing Green Light Ring — Know the Causes


Echo dot Green light Ring flashes under two circumstances: when you are getting calls, or someone drops in. Well, you might not be familiar with the drop-in feature. Right? Then the feature allows the users to use Alexa as an intercom device in different rooms.

With this drop-in feature, you can call anyone in your contact list and another connected device as well. But in case, you want to make the green light disappear from your device then you can try the following methods.


Answer the call: If you receive a call, you can ask Alexa to answer it. The green light will then disappear. But in case, you don't want to answer an unknown number then you can see the incoming call on the screen too. |


Decline the call: If you are receiving a call and don't want to answer, you can simply say "Drop". The call will be declined and the flashing green light will disappear.


Therefore, these are two methods to get rid of the green flashing lights on Alexa. You have to answer/decline the call. Further, the light blinks at least 10 seconds after getting a call even if you are at the house or not.
